Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man has been arrested on child pornography charges. State Police say Daniel Elieze Valentin-Morales, 27, was taken into custody on Thursday, and charged with six counts each of distribution and possession of child pornography. He’s currently being held at the Frederick County Detention Center without bond.

In August, 2020, Frederick Police began an investigation into incidents of  on line distribution and possession of child pornography. The Maryland State Police and the FBI joined the investigation which led to Valentin-Morales’ home.

The State Police Crimes Against Children Task Force and the FBI executed a search and seizure warrant at the suspect’s home on Thursday, and took him into custody.

Authorities say during the course of their investigation, they learned that Valentin-Morales was employed as a substitute teacher for County Public Schools. But they say there’s no information the suspect had any inappropriate contact with children.
