Hospitalizations Due To COVID-19 In Frederick County Decreased Significantly Since January

 

The seven-day positivity rate decreased to 6 percent

Frederick, Md. (DG) – Local hospitalizations due to COVID-19 have decreased significantly over the past two months.

According to the Frederick County Health Department’s website, there were 26 coronavirus patients at Frederick Health Hospital on Sunday, compared to 72 on January 16, 2021. The number of patients currently in I-C-U is 3.

In Frederick County there have been 18,097 confirmed cases of COVID-19 reported since the pandemic began. The number of COVID-19 related deaths in Frederick County is 291.

The seven-day positivity rate locally is 6 percent.

The health department is reporting 69,312 residents have received the first dose of the COVID-19 vaccine, and 41,166 are fully vacinated.
