Police Report Active Shooter In Frederick – 38 Yr Old Suspect Killed

Frederick, Md. (DG) – The investigation is just beginning into an active shooter incident this morning in Frederick.

According to scanner reports, at around 8:15 AM a man was shot by Monocacy Blvd and Church Street. Police began looking for the suspect who was driving a black Nissan.

A short time later, police learned of another man shot. Both victims were flown to trauma centers for treatment.  Both men are critically injured.

The suspect was located at around 8:35 AM at the Nallin Farm entrance to Fort Detrick off of Oppossumtown Pike.

Gunfire was heard on the other side of the base, and the 38-year-old suspect was shot and killed.
