Subject was assigned to Fort Detrick
Frederick, MD (KB) Frederick Police have released a photo of the suspect from Tuesday morning’s double shooting.
38-year-old Fantahun Girma Woldesenbet shot two people in the 8400 block of Progress Drive. He then fled to Fort Detrick, and sped past the entrance at Nallin Gate.
Woldesenbet was shot and killed by a civilian military police officer on post.
Woldesenbet was an active-duty Navy Sailor assigned to Fort Detrick, but he lived off post.
This incident remains under investigation. Frederick Police are working with Fort Detrick and the FBI Field Office in Baltimore on this incident.
