Germantown Man Dies In Traffic Crash In Gaithersburg

It occurred early Sunday morning.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Montgomery County Police continue to investigate a fatal collision on Sunday morning in Gaithersburg.

Authorities say at around 5:50 AM, a Montgomery County Police officer on his way to work came up on a crash at the intersection of Clopper Road (Md 117) and Orchard Hills Drive. An investigation determined a Chevrolet Malibu traveling west on Clopper Road crossed the center line near Orchard MillsĀ  Drive and struck a Nissan Sentra traveling east.

The driver of the Malibu identified as Emil William Cosbert, 29, of Germantown was pronounced dead at the scene. The operator of the Sentra, Juliette Marie Simon Dauz of Cheltenham, Md., was taken to a local hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
