The search took place as part of an ongoing investigation
Frederick, Md. – Over the past several weeks, the Frederick Police Department has responded to multiple calls for several firearms discharges and armed robberies in the area of W. 6th Street in downtown Frederick.
The department has conducted ongoing investigations during that time and responded by increasing patrols in the area while simultaneously conducting and an undercover investigation. Through the course of the investigation we determined several individuals and their associates to be suspects in the multiple cases. At this time we believe that the below cases are related and we will be seeking additional charges for individuals in reference to these incidents in the near future.

The names of those involved and what they are charged with will be released at the time of arrest.
Titus Diggs was arrested in Baltimore County last week in connection with an armed carjacking that occurred on E. Fourth Street here in Frederick. Evidence in this ongoing investigation led us to believe the additional suspects were staying at two residences in the 500 Block and 600 Block of Bentz Street. On Tuesday night, the Frederick Police Department served a search and seizure warrant on those residences.
The operation Tuesday night included over 50 Officers from three different jurisdictions and Federal partners. During this operation, the area of Bentz Street and West 6th Street, and surrounding blocks were shut down to vehicular and pedestrian traffic. This was done for the safety of the community during the execution serving of these high-risk search warrants. Due to the high-risk threat of injuries posed to the community and the officers, the Frederick Police Department requested assistance from the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office SWAT team and the Washington County SWAT team. Both agencies provided manpower and the use of their armored rescue vehicles to ensure the safety of everyone involved. The Frederick Police Department would like to thank our partners from those agencies for their assistance and use of their equipment. No one from the community, general public or FPD was injured during the execution of these search warrants.
This is an ongoing and very active investigation still. This investigation was a coordinated effort between the Frederick Police Department, Frederick County Sheriff’s Office, Washington County Sheriff’s Office, Hagerstown Police Department, and Homeland Security Investigations under the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network.
