Injured Hiker Rescued From Sugarloaf Mountain In Frederick County

 

 

Trooper 3 lifted the hiker from the mountain

Frederick, Md. (DG)- An injured hiker was rescued by Maryland State Police Saturday from Sugarloaf Mountain.

Rescue crews responded to the mountain at around 12:30 PM after the hiker slipped and fell down on the rock face of the mountain. Trooper 3 was requested to the scene.
The victim was hoisted from the area as the helicopter hovered about 100 feet from the mountain.

After the injured hiker was on board Trooper 3 they were flown to Meritus Medical Center in Hagerstown for treatment.
