Scanner reports say people may be trapped
Harpers Ferry, WV (DG) – A possible tornado caused severe damage to a home in Ranson, West Virginia this evening.
The National Weather Service issued a tornado warning for Jefferson County, West Virginia at around 6:45 PM.
Local residents say they saw the tornado and heard sounds of what sounded like a train when the storm moved over head.
There are multiple reports of extensive damage in the Eastern Panhandle of West Virginia.
