Residents can report missed pickups to the county.
Frederick, Md (KM) The Frederick county Division of Solid Waste and Recycling says there been a slow down in recycling pickups today (Thursday).
Officials say eh county’s’ contractor, Ecology Services, is experiencing a staffing shortage. As a result, the collection of the big blue recycling bins is moving very slowly, and some routes may not be completed today.
Residents whose blue bins were scheduled for pickup today, but were missed may have them collected on Friday. Citizens should leave out their recycling bins so they can be picked up by the contractor. Those whose bins were missed on Thursday can report it on Friday.
Complaints about missed recycling bin pickups can be sent by email to [email protected], or by using the “Report a Problem” app feature on their Frederick County Recycling app. Residents can also call 301-600-2960 and leave a message, including their addresses.
