Promotions Announced At Frederick County Sheriff’s Office

Three deputies join the Command Ranks.

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Some promotions have been announced by the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.

Scott Jewell has been promoted to captain and will be the new Administrative Services Commander. The Sheriff’s Office says this is an executive level position which is responsible for the overall leadership, administration, and operational management of the agency. He will manage Fiscal Services, Personnel Services, Training, Support Services and Technology.

Dave Keefer has been promoted to lieutenant. With this new rank Keefer will be the Sheriff’s Office’s Support Services Commander where he will oversee the leadership and coordination of daily activities within the Records Section, Police Information Specialists, Fingerprinting Services, Community Services and Fleet Services. .

Josh McFarland has also been promoted to lieutenant. He is the new Patrol Operations Administrative commander. This is a first-level management position, where McFarland will be responsible for the assigned administrative duties within Patrol Operations. He will continue to respond to, assume command of and provide direction at any incident where a patrol commander is not available.

“These individuals have certainly earned these promotions and have proved they are ready tor this next step in their careers,” says Sheriff Chuck Jenkins, in a statement. “I look forward to their leadership styles, ideas, and how they will positively impact the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office and our deputies for years to come.”

The Sheriff’s Office also reports Marc Destefano and Kevin Britt were promoted to Sergeant, and Stephani Bird, Michael Mathias, Nathan Rector and David Voland each received promotions to the rank of corporal.
