Frederick Police Charge Man With Assault, Reckless Endangerment

He allegedly pointed a gun at utility workers.

Frederick, Md (KM) A Frederick man who brandished a firearm at some utility workers has been charged. Kevin Eugene Bolinger, 40, was taken into custody.

Frederick Police say at around 4:30 on Friday afternoon, officers were called to the 1,000 block of North Market Street for a weapon’s complaint. They learned an individual identified as Bolinger came out of his residence and demanded utility workers get off of his property The workers were legally on an easement of Bolinger’s property in order to provide services to utilities in the area. . When they did not comply, Bolinger went back inside and returned with a firearm which he pointed at them.

Bolinger was taken into custody without incident. He’s charged with 1st- and 2nd-degree assault, and reckless endangerment.

Police say they later served a search warrant at Bolinger’s home, and removed 23 firearms and thousands of rounds of ammunition from the house.. .
