‘To Go’ Meals To Be Offered This Summer In Frederick County Public Schools

Breakfast and lunch will also be offered to summer school students.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) The Summer Food Service Program will begin in Frederick County Public Schools on Wednesday, June 30th.   Food and Nutrition Services will be distributing “to-go” breakfasts and lunches from 10:00 AM until 1:00 PM at 11 schools in the county: They are:

· Ballenger Creek Elementary

· Brunswick Elementary

· Hillcrest Elementary

· Lincoln Elementary

· Middletown High

· Spring Ridge Elementary

· Sugarloaf Elementary

· Thurmont Middle

· Walkersville Elementary

· Waverley Elementary

· Whittier Elementary

 

The meals are available to those in the community who are 18 and younger. Those 18 and older who are enrolled in an educational program for persons with disabilities will also be served.  Parents or guardians can pick up the “to-go” meals for their children. The kids do not need to be present.

The last day of the summer meal service  is Wednesday, August 11th.

Starting on June 28th, the School System will serve breakfast and lunch to students enrolled in the summer school programs while they are at school; and “to-go” breakfasts and lunches for Friday through Sunday will be offered to those students on Thursdays during the summer school program.

FCPS says information about local facilities offering food to students who are  participating in virtual learning will be available at a later date.
