Citizens Police Academy To Begin In The Fall

Frederick, Md (KM) It’s an opportunity for citizens to learn how their Police Department works. Applications are now being accepted for the Citizens Police Academy.

It’s a seven-week program where participants learn about uniformed patrol, criminal investigations, undercover work, tactical operations and other law enforcement functions.

The Citizens Police Academy will take place from September 23rd to November 4th at the Frederick Police Training Center at 6424 Plant Road.

Anyone who wants to participate should be a citizen of Frederick, or who has  business interests in the city. They must be at least 18-years old, and have no serious criminal convictions.

There is no fee for this academy.
