Interest Payments, Disconnections For Non-Payment Of Water & Sewer Bills To Resume In Frederick County

They were suspended last year  during the pandemic.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Frederick, Md (KM) Frederick County Government says pre-pandemic billing practices are returning.

On Thursday, July 1st, the Division of Water and Sewer Utilities says it will reinstate the 1% monthly interest charge on delinquent accounts. Along with that, the mailing of late notices for past due accounts will resume..

On Monday, August 16th, disconnections will resume for non-payment on accounts which remain unpaid for 60-days from the original billing date. The $100 penalty for late payments will be added.

On March 16th, 2020, the county suspended interest and disconnections for non-payment to help customers who were impacted by the COVID-19 pandemic.
