Frederick County Grand Jury Returns Four Indictments Friday

All of them were drug cases.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Fredeick, Md (KM) Four indictments were returned on Friday by the Frederick County Grand Jury. One was against Dominic Stephan Cage, 24, of Frederick whose charged with drug offenses after a large amount of narcotics, including prescription medications, were found in his vehicle.

State’s Attorney Charlie Smith says Cage was arrested on June 22nd, 2021, in the 300 block  of North Market Street in Frederick. Police responded to that area for complaints of drug dealing inside of a car.   An officer went over the vehicle to investigate. “And when he approaches the vehicle, he noticed what he believes to be heroin and fentanyl gel caps in the front cup holder. He {Cage} was placed under arrest. He {the officer} winds up finding baggies, scales, suboxone, all sorts of pills, crack cocaine. . So obviously this was a large amount of narcotics that were found on Mr. Cage,” Smith says.

Cage was also indicted for Possession with intent to distribute fentanyl, cocaine, Alprazolam, marijuana, Psilocy and Buprehnorphine near school property, and attempting to bribe a public employee.

Other indictments returned on Friday were:

*Omar Zemane Streeter, 24, of Baltimore, MD who is charged with firearm drug trafficking; CDS distribution, etc. with a firearm; possession of a large amount of Fentanyl mix; conspiracy of possession of large amount of Fentanyl mix; possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute Heroin; distribution and possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl/Heroin mix; possessions with intent to distribute Cocaine; conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute Heroin, Fentanyl, and Cocaine; possession of Fentanyl; possession of Cocaine; illegal possession of a regulated firearm; loaded handgun in vehicle; loaded handgun on person; fraud per identity avoid prosecution; obstructing and hindering. This offense occurred on May 29th, 2021.

*Niyon Te’Andre Matthews, 20, of Baltimore, MD is charged with possession of a large amount of Fentanyl mix; conspiracy and possession of a large amount of Fentanyl mix; possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute Heroin; distribution and possession with intent to distribute Fentanyl/Heroin mix; possession with intent to distribute Cocaine; conspiracy and possession with intent to distribute Heroin, Fentanyl, and Cocaine; possession of Fentanyl; possession of Heroin; possession of Cocaine; fraud per identity to avoid prosecution; false statement to peace officer; obstructing and hindering; driving without a license; driving while suspended; false report (traffic); failure to obey traffic control device; unsafe lane changing. This offense occurred on May 29th, 2021.

*Cesar L. Ymaya-Andrade, 21, of Frederick, MD is charged with firearm drug trafficking; CDS distribution, etc with a firearm; possession with intent to distribute Marijuana; possession of 10g+ of Marijuana. This offense occurred on June 9th, 2021.

Smith says the Grand Jury also returned some sealed indictments.  “Under seal essentially means people don’t know a warrant will be served on them  So we don’t make comment on it.. Otherwise, they’re not going to  be around to get served,” he says.

These indictments move these cases to Circuit Court where trial dates will be scheduled.
