Suspect In Downtown Frederick Rape Arrested In Tennessee

He was taken into custody without incident.





Frederick, Md (KM) A suspect wanted in connection with a July 4th rape in downtown Frederick has been  arrested in Nashville, Tennessee. Norris Bernard Ellis, 57, of Walkersville was taken into custody on Thursday.   without incident.

Frederick Police say the victim was walking in the downtown area in the early morning hours of Sunday,  July Fourth when she was approached by a man who raped her in an alley off South Carroll Street. Detectives with the Investigations Division say they responded to the scene and spoke with the victim, They say they were able to identify Ellis as the suspect.

His apprehension was a coordinated effort between the Frederick Police Department, the US Marshal’s Service Capital Area Regional Task Force, the US Marshal’s Middle District of Tennessee Fugitive Task Force and the Metropolitan Nashville Police Department.
