House In Knoxville Damaged By Fire

One occupant was taken to the hospital.

Knoxville, Md (KM) Fire damaged a house in Knoxville early Thursday morning.

Frederick County Fire  and Rescue says fire fighters were dispatched at around 5:18 AM to the 3700 block of South Mountain Road where they found fire showing from the side of the home. A Rapid Intervention Dispatch and a tanker task force were requested.

It took fire fighters one hour to control the flames. They remained on the scene to put out hot spots.

One person inside the home was taken to a hospital with smoke inhalation. There were no fire department-related injuries.  One adult was displaced.

The cause of he fire remains under investigation. by the Frederick County Fire Marshal’s Office.
