Teenager Charged As Adult For Shooting In Germantown Wednesday Night

One victim died.

GERMANTOWN, Md. (AP) — Police in Maryland say one of four people shot during a fight at a recreation center basketball court has died and a teen has been charged with murder.

Montgomery County police say officers responded to a report of a shooting Wednesday night outside the Plum Gar Community Recreation Center in Germantown and found four victims, including three juveniles. They were taken to area hospitals and police say 20-year-old Axel Trejos was later pronounced dead.

Police took two boys into custody. They have charged a 14-year-old boy as an adult with first-degree murder and three counts of attempted first-degree murder.  He’s identified as Shilen Wiley.  The other boy wasn’t charged.

Authorities in Montgomery County say this is an isolated incident.
