Frederick Police Officer Died On Sunday Unexpectedly

He was found unresponsive at his Middletown home.

Frederick, Md. (DG) – A 13-year veteran with the Frederick Police Department passed away over the weekend.

According to a Facebook post by Frederick Police, 39-year-old , Lieutenant Andrew “Stew” Alcorn IV was found unresponsive and without a pulse by a family member at his Middletown home at around 10 a.m. Sunday.

First responders were called to the scene and were unable to revive him. A cause of death was not immediately known.

Alcorn is survived by his wife, Jenn, two daughters and a son.

Police are asking everyone to keep the Alcorn family and Frederick Police in your thoughts and prayers, and to please respect the family’s privacy.
