The driver of the vehicle was arrested.
Hagerstown, Md (KM) Hagerstown Police say drugs and cash were found in a car where three people were sleeping.
At around 3:00 AM on Tuesday, officers approached the vehicle which was parked in the 200 block of North Jonathan Street. Through an investigation, they were able to determine probable cause to search the vehicle.
They ordered everyone out.. The driver ran away, but he was quickly caught.
A search of the car netted about 300 capsules of suspected crack cocaine, and more than $2800 in cash which police believe were the proceeds from drug sales.
Taariq Roberts, 32, of Hagerstown was taken into custody. He’s charted with possession with intent to distribute narcotics, possession of a large amount of narcotics, possession of narcotics (not marijuana) and being a common nuisance in distributing narcotics.
