Bias Incidents Under Investigation In Montgomery County

Police say buildings and garbage dumpsters were spray painted.

Gaithersburg, Md (KM) Several bias incidents are under investigation in Montgomery County.

On Sunday, October 3rd , police were called to a grocery store in the 10000 of Old Georgetown Road where the words “White Pride 2021” were spray painted on the back of the building and several garbage dumpsters. . That same day, officers were sent to Walter Johnson High where they found the words “No Commies,” “LGBTQ is unnatural,” and “White Pride” sprayed painted on school property.

Other spray painting incidents occurred at a welcome sign at a church in the 10000 block of Old Georgetown Road, and a bus stop on Old Georgetown Road and Democracy Boulevard. ..

The Bethesda Trolley Trail, and another church in the 6000 block of Grovsner Lane were targets of spray painting.

Police say they were able to obtain surveillance video of a suspect who appears to be a male, slim to medium build, wearing a light colored hat, dark red or possibly plaid shirt or jacket, tan pants and brown boots. He was also wearing a headlamp and a backpack.
