Choosing Jurors For Hooks’ Trial Continues At The Frederick County Court House

Hooks is on trial for 1st-degree murder.

Frederick, Md (KM) Jury selection is expected to continue on Wednesday at the Frederick County Court House in the trial of Jordan Burris Hooks, 29, of Frederick.

Hooks is charged with 1st-degree murder and other offenses in connection with the shooting of Jaemari Anderson, 19. He was found shot along a walking path in the Waterside community on September 6th, 2020. Anderson was taken to Shock Trauma in Baltimore where he died.

The State’s Attorney’s Office says jury selection began on Monday, but was not completed   by the end of the day on Tuesday.

Other suspects charged with Anderson’s death are Daniel Alonzo Flythe and Brian Braheem Henry.

Henry pleaded guilty earlier this month to being an accessory after the fact in a 1st-degree murder. He’s expected to be sentenced on February 8th.. Prosecutors say they will ask for  ten-years behind bars.

Flythe is expected to go on trial on January 10th, 2022.
