Damage estimated at a half-million dollars.
Westminster, Md (KM) Fire damaged a commercial building in Westminster Tuesday afternoon.
The Maryland State Fire Marshal’s Office says at around 2:51 PM, fire fighters were dispatched to the 2600 block of Old Taneytown Road for a maintenance building on fire. 50 fire fighters along with a tanker task force spent one hour bringing the flames under control. There were no injuries.
Damage is estimated at $500, 000. .
The Fire Marshal’s Office says the fire originated in the interior of the building. The cause remains under investigation.
