Westminster Home Fire Causes Estimated $400,000 In Damage

Everyone evacuated the home safely.

Westminster, Md. (NS) – The Maryland State Fire Marsha’s Office is investigating a house fire in Westminster that caused an estimated $400,000 in damage.

Wednesday night at 10 p.m. firefighters were dispatched to the 300 block of Mary Avenue in Westminster for a two-story house fire. It took 75 firefighters 2 hours to control the flames.

Investigators say the fire was discovered in the basement by a resident of the home.

Everyone was able to evacuate safely and no injuries were reported.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
