Md. State Police are investigating.
Westminster, Md. (KM) – The investigation continues into the fatal shooting of a Baltimore County man in Westminster Monday night.
State Police say shortly before 11:15 PM, Westminster Police Officers responded to the 100 block of South Center Street for a shooting. They found the victim lying on the ground in front of a building suffering from a gunshot wound. . Emergency medical services personnel pronounced the man dead at the scene. He’s identified as Kevin Lamont King, 26, Pikesville.
The Maryland State Police Homicide Unit was asked to respond to the scene, and took over the investigation. They were assisted by the State Police Criminal Enforcement Division, as well as troopers from the Westminster Barrack and the Westminster Police.
Witnesses and residents in the area were interviewed by investigators, and evidence was collected at the scene.
Authorities say they do not have a suspect description at this time, and no motive has been determined.
