For the second week in a row, Spotify says it will stand by Joe Rogan, even as he faces a new wave of criticism. Last week, other musicians joined Neil Young in trying to pull their music from Spotify to get Rogan’s podcast yanked for spreading fake COVID news. But Spotify said he would stay. Last week, one of those artists, India.arie, called out Rogan for using the n-word in his podcasts. That prompted Rogan to post a video apology. But Spotify has come to his defense again. In a message yesterday, Spotify CEO Daniel Ek said he doesn’t believe “silencing Joe is the answer.” Spotify reportedly pays $100 million to carry Rogan’s podcasts.
