Boonsboro, Md. (NS) – A fire on Saturday badly damaged a home in Boonsboro.
At around 3:20 in the afternoon, firefighters were dispatched to 8267 Old National Pike in Boonsboro for a two-story single-family home on fire.
It took 77 firefighters an hour to control the blaze which investigators say started in the attic.
The homeowner discovered the fire and the building’s smoke alarms did not activate.
Damage to the home is estimated at $150,000.
The occupants are being assisted by the Red Cross.
