Police Pursuit Ends In Crash Injuring Four Pennsylvania State Troopers

They sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

Chambersburg, Pa. (NS) – Four Pennsylvania State Troopers were injured in an accident while they were chasing a suspect late Monday night.

At around 11:45 p.m. Troopers tried to stop a vehicle that committed multiple traffic violations in Chambersburg.

The driver refused to stop and a pursuit began.

The chase ended when two troopers crashed their cruisers at Lincoln Way West and Shatzer Orchard Road and the suspect was taken into custody.

36-year-old Christopher Naugle, of Chambersburg, was arrested and charged with fleeing and eluding, recklessly endangering another person, and multiple traffic violations.

Two Troopers were transported by ambulance to a local hospital for moderate injuries. The other two were flown for serious non-life-threatening injuries.
