Frederick Police Arrest Suspect In Stabbing

Victim is in stable condition.

Frederick, Md. (KM) – A suspect has been arrested in connection with a stabbing early Thursday morning in Frederick. Olivia Nevaeh Barton, 21, of Hagerstown, is charged with 1st-degree assault, 2nd-degree assault, home invasion, 3rd degreeĀ  burglary and malicious destruction of property.

Frederick Police say at around 5:30 AM, officers were called to a home in Victoria Square for a stabbing, and found a man who had been stabbed multiple times. First aid was administered until fire and rescue personnel arrived. The victim was flown to Shock Trauma by Maryland State Police Helicopter. He’s currently listed in stable condition.

Detectives say they identified Barton as a suspect, and contacted Hagerstown Police, who located and detained her. Barton was interviewed buy Frederick Police and placed  under arrest.

She is being held without bond at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center.
