Ten Indictments Returned By Frederick County Grand Jury

Two defendants are charged with sex abuse of a minor.

Frederick, Md. (KM) – The Frederick County Grand Jury returned 10 indictments on Friday. One of them was against Brad Allen Kelley of Frederick, 36, whose charged with sex abuse of a minor and sex abuse of a minor continuing course of conduct.  Authorities say he sexually abused a girl between July, 2018 to November, 2021.

Also indicted was Eduardo Antonio Burgos-Ceron, 42, of Middletown, whose charged with 2nd-degree rape, sex abuse of a minor and sex abuse of a minor continuing course of conduct. The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office says Brugos-Ceron sexually abused a girl repeatedly between February, 2014 to February, 2019.

Other indictments returned by the Grand Jury include:

*Chelsey Elizabeth Kern, 25, of Frederick, whose charged with possession of a large amount of heroin; possession of a large amount of fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute heroin; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; distribution, and possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl-heroin mix; conspiracy to possess a large amount of heroin; possession of heroin; possession of fentanyl; and possession of drug administering equipment (hypodermic needles and syringe)  for an offense which occurred on January 19th, 2022:

* Michael Andrew Johnson, 30, , WV, whose charged with possession of a large amount of heroin; possession of a large amount of fentanyl; possession with intent to distribute heroin; possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; distribution and possession with intent to distribute a fentanyl and heroin mix; conspiracy to posses a large amount of heroin; possession of heroin and possession of fentanyl, for an offense which occurred on January 19, 2022.

Both Kern and Johnson are co-defendants.

Two other co-defendants were indicted on Friday by the Grand Jury. They are:

*Aaron Anthony Hammer, 30, of Sharpsburg, Md, whose charged with possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy of possession with intent to distribute fentanyl; and possession of a large amount and conspiracy to possess a large amount of fentanyl, for an offense which took place on January 4th, 2022.

*Brianna Cheree Clanton, 31, of Hedgesville, WV, whose charged with possession with intent to distribute, conspiracy to posses with intent to distribute and possession of a large amount of fentanyl, and conspiracy to possess a large amount of fentanyl and possession of fentanyl; and possession of cocaine and possession of Buprenorphine for an offense which occurred on January 4th, 2022.

Other individuals indicted are:

Robert Stanley Painter, Jr., 58, of St. Thomas, Pa., whose charged with possession with intent to distribute heroin; possession with intent to distributer heroin; possession of heroin; and possession of fentanyl for an offense which occurred on February 10th, 2022.

*Thomas Johnathan Kovak, 27, of Frederick, whose charged with nine counts of possession of child pornography, possession with the intent to promote and distribute child pornography for offenses which occurred between Oct. 7th,k 2015 to January 6th, 2021.

* Rene Mauricio Azmitia-Medrano, 37, if Frederick, whose charged with 10 counts of possession of child pornography, and possession with intent to promote and distribute child pornography for offenses which occurred between April 13th, 2021 to January 22nd, 2022.

*Jackie Tyson Lawson, 20, Frederick, whose charged with possession with intent to distribute marijuana, use of a firearm in drug trafficking; possession of a registered firearm under the age of 21; having a loaded handgun in a vehicle; and driving without a license for an offense which occurred on January 25th, 2022.

These indictments move these cases to Circuit Court, where trial dates will be scheduled.

The State’s Attorney’s Office says indictments are charging documents alleging criminal conduct. All defendants are innocent until proven guilty
