Frederick Police Make Arrests In Heather Ridge Area

Frederick, Md. (KM) – Frederick Police say they’ve stepped up enforcement efforts in the Heater Drive Area since March first, following complaints about multiple firearms discharges. .

They say officers with the Tactical Investigations Unit served five arrest warrants, and charged four individuals with drug offenses. They also arrested arrested a man on criminal and traffic charges. He tried to flee during a traffic stop.

Authorities say they also made two arrests for individuals illegally possessing firearms, including a “ghost gun.” The firearms offenders are:

Haqii Stancil

DOB: 09-21-1990

Charges:

  • 1 1285: Possession ammunition, being prohibited from possessing a firearm
  • 1 0175: Handgun in vehicle
  • 1 1106: Possession of firearm after being convicted of a disqualifying crime

Markus Marvine

DOB: 06-19-1999

Charges:

  • 1 0487: Transporting firearm while engaged in drug trafficking
  • 1 0493: Possession of firearm in relation to drug trafficking
  • 1 5212: Handgun on person
  • 1 1455: Loaded handgun on person
  • 1 1454: Loaded handgun in vehicle
  • 1 0175: Handgun in vehicle
  • Possession marijuana
  • Possession with the intent to distribute marijuana

This operation was part of an effort by the Frederick Police, the Sheriff’s Office and the Maryland Criminal Intelligence Network, which is funded by the Governor’s Office on Crime Prevention, Youth and Victims services.

Frederick Police say they will continue these proactive efforts with their law enforcement partners to keep the community safe.
