Narcotics, cash, handgun confiscated; five people arrested.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – It was a busy three-day period last week for the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office.
On Monday, March 14th, the Narcotics Investigations Section served a search warrant at home in the 600 block of Ivy Way in Frederick, and confiscated 95.8 grams of cocaine, 6.2 grams of a heroin and fentanyl and $,232.. Dacora Nicole Ross, 28, of Baltimore was arrested. She’s charged with:
- Controlled Dangerous Substance (CDS) – Possession with intent to distribute (PWID) fentanyl mixture
- CDS – PWID cocaine
- CDS – PWID heroin/fentanyl
- CDS – Possession not marijuana cocaine
- CDS – Possession not marijuana heroin/fentanyl
- CDS – Two counts of paraphernalia
(CDS stands for controlled dangerous substance; PWID stands for possession with intent to distribute)
On Tuesday, March 15th, a deputy assisting a stopped vehicle on Interstate 70 near New Market had cause to search the vehicle. During that search, the deputy confiscated about three ounces of cocaine, and 63 gel caps of fentanyl concealed inside the roof and passenger seat of the vehicle, and more than $1,000. Deputies arrested Jeffery Dwain Powell, 61, of Columbia, Maryland; Tavon Lamont Wiggins, 32, of Sparrows Point, Maryland; and and Daquan Amari Williams, 32, of Baltimore. They are charged with:
- CDS Two counts possession with intent to distribute a narcotic
- Conspiracy CDS – Two counts possession with intent to distribute a narcotic
- CDS – Two counts possession not marijuana
And on Wednesday, March 16th, the Narcotics Investigations Section served search and seizure at multiple locations in the Frederick area, and confiscated a handgun, 44 capsules of suspected heroin and fentanyl; 39.5 grams of suspected crack cocaine; four ounces of suspected PCP; 38 morphine tablets and some packing materials.
Investigators say they had reason to believe Sean Jesus Darnell Mitchell, 43, of Abington, Maryland was distributing narcotics in the Frederick area. He is charged with:
- CDS – Possession with intent to distribute narcotics
- CDS – Possession with intent to distribute PCP
- Distribution/PWID CDS fentanyl/heroin
- CDS- Three counts of possession-not marijuana
- Firearm use/felony-violent crime
- CDS – distribution with a firearm
- Firearm/drug trafficking crime
- Firearm possession with a felony conviction
- Illegal possession of a regulated firearm
- Illegal possession of ammunition
