Frederick Man Arrested For 2nd Time In A Month On Weapons and Drug Offenses

He was released in March on $20,000 bond.

Frederick, Md. (NS) – A Frederick man has been arrested for drugs and firearms offenses a month after being released on bond for similar charges.

At around 1 pm on April 6, the Frederick County Sheriff’s Office Narcotics Investigations Section, FCSO SWAT, and Frederick Police Drug Enforcement Unit served a search and seizure warrant in the 400 block of Prospect Boulevard where Blake Nivens, 25, of Frederick was arrested on 14 drug and weapons offenses.

Along with making the arrest, Deputies seized over 500 Fentanyl pills, cocaine, Oxycodone pills, marijuana, a loaded handgun, an AR style pistol, drug packaging items and almost $3,300.

On March 9, the Sheriff’s Office arrested Nivens and seized 14 pounds of marijuana, Alprazolam pills, mushrooms, cocaine, a handgun and $14,000 in cash.

Nivens was released within 24 hours of that arrest on $20,000 bond.
