Seventeen Year Old In Hagerstown Shot With Shotgun After Altercation

There is no present danger to the public.

Hagerstown, Md. (NS) – An altercation in Hagerstown ended with a 17-year-old getting shot in the back with a shotgun.

On April 8, at around 4 p.m., Hagerstown Police Officers responded to Avalon Avenue for the report of shots fired.

Officers who arrived found a 17-year-old male with a gunshot wound to his back.

He was transported to Meritus Medical Center with non-life threatening injuries.

Investigators found that the shooting was the result of an altercation between the suspect and the victim.

Police believe there is no danger to the general public from this incident.
