Frederick County To Participate In National Prescription Drug Take Back Day

Residents can safely dispose of unwanted drugs and sharps at two locations.

Frederick, Md. (NS) – A day to dispose of unused and unwanted drugs is set for April 30 in Frederick County.

The County Health Department has announced that it is participating in National Prescription Drug Take Back Day, where you can drop off expired, unused and unwanted drugs, syringes, needles, lancets and auto injectors for proper disposal.

On that day, law enforcement and health department personnel will be available to collect these objects at the former Trinity School at 6040 New Design Road and the Maryland State Police Frederick Barrack at 110 Airport Drive East.

All drugs must be in pill form and all sharps must be counted prior to disposal.
