SHA says emergency repair work is taking place.
Frederick, Md. (KM) – If you normally travel Interstate 70 in the Myersville area, you may want to take an alternate route for the time being. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says crews are making emergency repairs on the I-70 westbound bridge over Harmony Road. Personnel are repairing a damaged expansion joint on the bridge, and that will require a left lane closure on I-70.
The work is expected to take place all day and into the evening hours.
When the left lane repairs are completed, SHA says crews will close the right lane on the bridge for inspections and repairs.
SHA urges motorists who travel this stretch of I-70 to use alternate routes.
