Emergency Bridge Work Continues On I-70 Westbound Near Myersville

Motorists are urged to take US 40 as an alternate route.

Myersville, Md. (KM) – The emergency bridge repairs on westbound Interstate 70 continue today (Thurs).

The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says the right lane on the I-70 bridge over Harmony Road near Myersville will be closed through the evening commute. This will allow crews tor repair the bridge joint on that span.

Motorists are urged to use US 40 (Baltimore National Pike an alternate in order to avoid delays.

MDOT SHA says more than 60,000 vehicles travel that stretch of I-70 each day.

The eastbound lanes remain open to traffic.
