Frederick, Md. (NS) – A Frederick man has been charged with 20 counts of child pornography.
Frederick County Sheriff’s Office (FCSO) detectives served a search and seizure warrant at around 8 a.m. on Wednesday at the 1400 block of Wheyfield Drive and arrested Torez Weedon, 36, of Frederick.
He is being charged with 10 counts of child pornography with intent to distribute and 10 counts of possession of child pornography.
The FCSO Internet Crimes Against Children Section began to investigate Weedon in December, 2021 after receiving tips from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children.
Investigators found that Weedon downloaded numerous files from the internet depicting child sexual abuse, exploitation, and/or pornography.
He was taken into custody without incident and is being held at the Frederick County Adult Detention Center without bond.
