White House Press Secretary Psaki Will Exit White House May 13th: President Biden is confirming the departure of White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki on May 13th. Biden put out a statement saying Psaki’s top deputy, Karine Jean-Pierre, will take on the role. Biden praised Psaki for “returning decency, respect and decorum to the White House Briefing Room.” As for Jean-Pierre, she’ll make history in the role. Psaki’s top deputy, Jean-Pierre is the first Black woman and openly gay person to hold the job.
