Three Teenagers Charged With Fatal Shooting Of A Frederick Man

The murder took place in Germantown.

Germantown, Md. (KM) – Three teenagers have been charged in connection with the murder of a Frederick man in Germantown last month. Montgomery County Police say Malik Hney, 15, of Kensington, and Justin Acosta, 14, of Germantown were taken into custody on Tuesday, May 3rd .

During the course of their investigation, detectives identified Malachi Hney, 16, of Kensington as a suspect. He was arrested on Thursday, May 5th.

All three are charged as adults with first-degree murder.

On April 22nd just before 11:00 PM, officers were dispatched to the 19500 block of Gunners Branch Road to investigate reports of a shooting. They found Taon Lamont Cline, 20, of Frederick suffering from  multiple gunshot wounds. Lifesaving efforts were initiated by police officers until medics arrived, but Cline was pronounced dead at the scene.
