Crews are still working to repair the waterline and sinkhole.

Frederick, Md. (NS) – Frederick City officials have announced that water service has been restored in the businesses near a sinkhole that opened up on Monocacy Boulevard.

The city is asking people to not visit the site of the sinkhole, as the ground in the area is still unstable and crews are continuing to work at that location.

Monocacy Boulevard will be closed for an undetermined amount of time between the Interstate 70 ramp and East South Street as crews work to repair the road.
