One victim was 21, the other was 16.
Germantown, Md. (NS) – Two people died in Germantown after a shooting.
Montgomery County Police say Cesar Segovia, 16, of Gaithersburg and Jeffrey Akowuah, 21, of Germantown died after a shooting in the 19,600 block of Crystal Rock Drive on Wednesday.
Police responded to Holy Cross Germantown Hospital at around 4:20 p.m. for the report of a gunshot victim and found Segovia had died from his wounds.
At 4:40 p.m. police also were sent to the 19,700 block of Crystal Rock Drive for the report of a shooting where they found Akowuah suffering from a gunshot wound. First responders provided lifesaving efforts, but Akowuah died at the scene.
Investigators believe Segovia and Akowuah met in the Crystal Rock Drive area at around 4:10 p.m. when the shooting occurred.
Detectives are continuing to investigate what they are calling a homicide.
