Part Of Rt. 75 In Union Bridge To Close This Weekend

Md. Midland Railway will be doing track repairs.

Union Bridge, Md. (KM) – Route 75 or North Main Street between East Elger Street and Green Valley Road in Union Bridge will be closed beginning on Friday, May 20th. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says Maryland Midland Railway wants to repair the railroad tracks and the roadway surface in that area.

The work is expected to begin at 6:00 AM on Friday, and be completed by Monday, May 23rd at 3:00 PM.

Traffic will be detoured.  SHA says motorists traveling on northbound Route 75 will taking Md. 75 to Shepherds Mill Road to Quaker Mill Road to East Locust Road and then back on to Route 75.

Larger vehicles traveling northbound Route 75 will take Shepherds  Mill Road. Those with larger vehicles heading southbound will take Route 75 to Quaker Hill Road to Priestland Road to Marble Quarry Road to Lehigh Road to Peter Schriner Road To Clemsonville Road to get to  Route 75.

Access by bicyclists and pedestrians will maintained throughout the weekend.
