Man Injured After Crashing A Car Into A Retaining Pond In New Market

The individual has been taken to the hospital.

New Market, Md. (KM) – The Frederick County Sheriff’s Office is investigating an incident in New Market where a car went into a retaining pond.

At around 8:45 PM on Tuesday, deputies along with fire and rescue personnel  responded to the CVS store at 5414 Rotary Avenue in New Market where a vehicle went into a retaining pond behind the store.

The man got out of the car safely, and was transported  to Frederick Health Hospital CPR was in progress while he was on the way  to the hospital.  The status of his condition is unknown at this time.

The Sheriff’s Office says deputies will remain on the scene for an extended period of time to conduct an investigation.
