The crash happened Monday around 11:50 PM
Frederick, Md. (DG) – A man has died from injuries sustained in a head-on collision on Route 15 in Frederick County.
Maryland State Police responded to the area of Route 15 and Angleberger Road at around 11:50 PM on Monday for a two vehicle accident.
Police are reporting 42-year-old Stephen Wright from Washington D.C. was driving a BMW northbound on Route 15, when he crossed the median and into the southbound lanes, striking a Toyota head-on.
The driver of the Toyota, 69-year-old Robert Camplair from Frederick, was pronounced dead at the scene.
Wright was taken to Meritus Medical Center in Washington County for minor injuries.
Route 15 was shut down for less than an hour. The investigation into the accident is continuing.
