MDOT SHA says crews will be removing debris under the bridge.
Jefferson, Md. (KM) – The Route 180 (Jefferson Pike) bridge over Catoctin Creek will be closed for six hours on Wednesday. The Maryland Department of Transportation State Highway Administration says crews will be removing debris which has accumulated under the bridge in the Jefferson area of Frederick County. .
The span will be closed starting at 9:00 AM. Personnel will use a crane and other equipment to remove tree limbs and other debris away from the bridge. MDOT SHA says the work is expected to be completed by 3:00 PM.
Electronic signs, roadway signs, cones and barrels will be used to alert motorists about the work zone. A detour route will be set up using Routes 340 and 180.
