Possible Police Impersonator Under Investigation In Montgomery County

The driver used red and blue flashing lights on their car to move motorists out of the way.

Germantown, Md. (NS) – A possible police impostor in Montgomery County is being investigated by Maryland State Police.

At around 4:15 p.m. on Tuesday, Troopers from the Rockville Barrack were notified of a vehicle on I-270 near Middlebrook Road which was driving aggressively and flashing red and blue lights.

A witness reported that the vehicle, a tan Chevrolet Malibu, activated its red and blue lights in the front and rear to move other motorists off the roadway on I-270.

There are no reports of this driver attempting to pull anyone over.

The suspect’s vehicle has been located by police, a person of interest has been identified, and no charges have yet been filed.
