Damage totals $100,000.
Sykesville, Md. (KM) – Damage is estimated at $50,000 to the structure and $50,000 to the contents from a garage fire early Friday morning in Carroll County.
Shortly before 4:30 AM, fire fighters were dispatched to 6370 Sykesvile Road in Sykesville for a one-story, wood framed garage on fire. It took 30 fire fighters 15-minute to bring the flames under control. No one was injured.
The State Fire Marshal’s Office says the garage and all of its contents are a complete loss. A neighbor’s home and garage sustained direct and radiant heat from the fire.
The cause remains under investigation.
