Frederick, Md. (NS) – Will President Joe Biden’s proposed forgiveness of $10,000 of student loans for many Americans be paid for? That question was asked on Friday on WFMD’s Morning News Express to Republican Maryland Gubernatorial Candidate Dan Cox.

“Absolutely not, it’s paid for by your plumbers, and your electricians, and your hard working people all across this state and it’s an affront to everyone in the State of Maryland,” said Cox.

He said the forgiveness would not help those who have massive amounts of student loans.

“At the end of the day, I think it was a horrible move. Everybody knows that if your degree is not worth paying it off, then maybe you got the wrong degree. Maybe you shouldn’t do basket weaving, maybe you should do something else,” Cox explained.

He said the country should instead focus on stopping inflation.
