Teenager Charged As Adult In Hagerstown Shooting

Hagerstown, Md (KM) A 16-year-old Hagerstown boy has been charged as an adult in connection with a shooting Wednesday night. Jordan Noah Hamilton was taken into custody.

Hagerstown Police say at around 7:00 PM, officers responded to the area of Frederick Street and Rowland Avenue for a shots-fired incident where a man was struck. The suspect was inside a house, and officers set a perimeter. Hamilton jumped from a second story window in the rear of the building, and attempted to flee. Police apprehended him.  .

Authorities say prior to the shooting, the victim identified as Anderson Sanon, 32, confronted Hamilton about a disturbance involving other teenagers, and that’s when he was shot. The bullet struck Sanon in the right hip and went through his leg. He taken to Meritus Medical Center to be treated for a gunshot wound.

Hamilton was transported to the Washington County Detention Center. He’s charged with the following:

Attempted  1st Deg. Murder

Attempted  2nd Deg. Murder

Assault 1st degree

Assault 2nd degree

Reckless endangerment

Burglary fourth degree-dwelling

Regulated Firearm:stolen/sell etc

Firearm-use/ in a felony or  violent  crime

Possession of firearm by a minor

Having Handgun on his person

Having a Loaded handgun on his person

Illegal possession ammunition

Regulated Firearm-Illegal possession
